When it was time to turn my attention to the September 2007 edition of theporpoisedivinglife.com, identifying the theme was a no-brainer. I had just finished writing Wide Open Spaces, which continues the story of my spiritual metamorphosis of knowing God beyond religion. It became increasingly clear as I wrote that Love is at the center of my transformation. I share an excerpt from the book about this as part of the September edition. Meanwhile, a friend and I launched turnloveinsideout.com
, which promotes the transformational power of Love. The phrase “turn love inside out” is meant to encourage people to first embrace God’s Love for themselves, and see Love as the ground of their being as people created in the image of God. Once we discover we are Love, we allow ourselves to be Love, which involves turning Love out to all people everywhere.
There is no story more compelling than the story of Love. The story is largely written behind the scenes and beneath the radar by ordinary people, discovering and living the extraordinary reality of Love. The story of Love is a story of hope, healing, freedom, forgiveness, reconciliation, and transformation. Often, human suffering and struggle are part of our journey of being awakened to Love. So, this month at theporposiedivinglife.com, I invited people to share some aspect of their journey as it relates to Love. I hope these offerings and reflections of Love stimulate a greater awareness of Love for each person who reads them.
Perhaps you have your own story of Love. How and where have you found Love? How did you come to a place of accepting Love for yourself? How is Love changing you? Has it brought freedom? What does it feel like? Has it healed deep wounds? Has it altered the way you live? Has it changed the way you view others? How is Love flowing through you to awaken others? How are you being Love? What does it look like for you and your life? What are your struggles, and what holds you back from accepting, receiving, and giving Love? A big part of turnloveinsideout.com
is allowing people to tell their story. I invite you to submit an aspect of your journey in the “Inside Out Stories
” section of
Speaking of Love, I am so often on the receiving end of Love when it comes to Bill Dahl. There are plenty of people with all kinds of concepts and notions about God and spiritual things, but Bill is one of those people who inspires and challenges me because he lives Love, and turns God’s Love for him and in him out to others without condition. Bill is an expression of the unconditional Love and acceptance of God for the world, and my desire for this September 2007 edition of The Porpoise Diving Life is to inspire each of us to likewise be these expressions of Love along the everyday paths of life.Jim Palmer
