God is God
By Mohammed Azbalma
Mohammed is a teenage Muslim living in the U.S. attending high school.
For me, God is God. For you, this may sound odd. Delhi, London, Jerusalem or Riyadh, When will we give this truth the nod.
Many call him by a certain name, Exclusive truth is their claim. To me, God is one and the same. It’s time to live in peace – stop casting blame.
Why is it so important? What is the big deal? I know God created us, Isn’t that honest and fundamentally real?
Why do people kill each other? Claiming their God’s the best? Why do bombs kill innocent children? How does this pass God’s test?
Why are people starving? Dieing from AIDS and genocide? The godly stand and do nothing. They duck, run and hide.
You cannot hide from God. Me, I’ll never try. He walks with me each and everyday. Living with me - not up in the sky.
This God stuff is much too complicated. It creates far too much confusion. People make God too complex. For me, they suffer from an illusion.
No matter what you call him, Who cares what you use for his name. If your life does not reflect his love, Well, that’s a crying shame.
